Two cups created as companions.
 
I hand-formed this pair together, painting each cup in energetic relationship with the other. Beginning with a warm speckled clay, I poured a flowing bronze glaze across each cup by hand, allowing every gesture to remain unique. During the firing, the kiln completed the conversation. Tiny speckles emerged through the bronze, while parts of the surface developed a softly aged, mirror-like sheen that could never be planned.
 
During their making, I placed the cups within an infinity symbol of rose petals on my altar, allowing that symbol of enduring love to become part of their creation.
 
As I worked, I read poems on loving devotion from the Radiance Sutras, inviting those words into every stage of the process.
 
These shifting surfaces remind us that love continues to reveal new depths over time. When we approach one another with curiosity and wonder, a relationship remains alive, surprising us with beauty we could never have imagined.

Each Lovers' Cup is embossed with my Hihemmm symbol—my tantric name, meaning creator of love—which I place on every piece as a quiet blessing for the relationship it is invited to serve.
