ABOUT JULIA HIHEMMM

I am a ritual artist and founder of Sacred Connection Ceramics.  My passion is creating custom ceramics that celebrate love in its most tangible form -in earth.  I create each piece in slow ceremony, designed specifically for ritual use to embody sacred connection.

 

Inspired by my upbringing with parents who expressed love and gratitude regularly throughout their relationship, I believe in the harmonising power of ritual in relationships.

My own journey post-divorce including visiting a chapel with sacred, healing earth, has fueled

my belief in the transformative power of nature.  

 

From my many years of experience teaching art to children, I am driven by the belief that

our planet thrives with happy, creative parents.

I am dedicated to inspiring others to become artists of their relationships,

fostering vibrant, sustainable connections to each other and our beautiful planet.

ABOUT COLLABORATOR PREM DEEP

Introducing Prem Deep, my partner in life and in love. Together we make Connection Rituals for you.

 

He creates moving soundscapes to help people dive into their essence. Twenty years ago,

he was given a tantric name meaning “Light of Love” reflecting his deep compassion for this world and his beautiful photography. He brings a unique perspective to his work with a profound appreciation for human connection fostered through his global travels sailing to untouched corners of the world.

 

A graduate of Amsterdam's prestigious Rietveld Academy, Prem Deep has honed his craft under the teachings of luminaries like Osho, Pema Gitma, and Avi Adir. His music blends traditional wooden flutes such as the Native American Grandfather’s Flute, the Japanese meditative Shakuhachi, and the

Indian meditative Bansuri, alongside healing rhythms from Tibetan bowls and modern synthesizers.

These elements create healing frequencies that resonate with your chakras during our ceremonies.

ABOUT ATELIER

My atelier is located on a little island near the heart of Amsterdam. The open, light filled space is framed by trees and gardens and snuggled into a little community of artist homes. Here I create all of my ceramics. It is also where I have a beautiful and inspiring space for our ceremonies.

MORE ABOUT JULIA/HIHEMMM

Catalysed by receiving the name Hihemmm, meaning the "Creator of Love," Julia became dedicated to infusing art with rituals of connection and healing.  

With a background in Fine Arts and Art History, she has dedicated decades to the study of ancient rituals and ecstatic arts. Her training at the European Ceramic Work Center and study with renowned figures like Layla Martin, Pema Gitma, and Margot Anand has shaped her distinctive approach.

Her long path healing a chronic illness incorporated gathering earth from her
home land, underscoring her belief in the fundamental importance of our connection to nature. 

For nearly a decade, Julia has followed a tantric path, mastering the art of sacred connection and embodiment.  She and her partner Prem Deep practice tantric marriage, regularly revisiting and celebrating their vows through personalized ceremonies that blend music, art, and nature.  These rituals, centered around her ceramics, have strengthened their bond, provided resilience and a space
for regular growing and healing.

Julia's focus on the art of relationships was deeply personal. Experiencing the heartache of divorce and its impact on her family, she became determined to learn and heal through sacred practices. This transformation fueled her passion to support other couples in cultivating joyful, sustainable relationships.

“I feel that if I had had access to such tools and practices, my marriage would have had a better chance of survival, especially when work and children pulled us in separate directions. We needed a core practice from the beginning to help us keep cultivating and celebrating our connection. We needed others to cheer us on and hold space for our partnership.
We needed to believe in the sacred power of love and surrender to something bigger than we were.” 

Julia's art and rituals serve as a reminder of our sacredness
and the transformative power of love.
